Planning what to see and where to go in Cork, I always had a visit to The English Market in mind. Last Monday, in the soft Munster rain, we set off through the streets of Cork, with lots of information from a twitter friend,John (@walkcork), and found it.

ReplyDeleteThank you Maggie. We did not get to buy anything, sadly. We had planned to go back the next morning, but didn't have the time and had to head for home. Glad now I took the photos to remind me :)
DeleteWow, you're making me hungry. I wish we had markets like that. Where I live we have a market that is open Saturday mornings, but no seafood and it is a good 15 mile trip to the market.
ReplyDeleteThanks Greg. This market is a permanent one and open 6 days a week. Most of the stalls are permanent too. I really wish we lived nearer, but we are about 300km away!!
