About This Blog
This blog is primarily cake-recipe based, but, from time to time, I will include some savoury ones too. I also like to write about my travels and encounters, especially if they involve great food. I speak as I find. Opinions expressed are my own, and not sponsored, requested, or paid for by others, unless specifically stated.

Oh lord that looks absolutely divine!!!
ReplyDeleteAs I said in the post, Paula, the original recipe was a total failure. This one works. It has a fairly thick consistency, and one slice is enough!
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong to want a slice of this at 8.30am?? It looks so delicious..........
ReplyDeleteNicola :)
Goodness me no, Nicola, cake at any time of day is always good:)
ReplyDeleteThat looks glorious! Well done for sorting out the recipe.

:)
Thank you, Jacqueline. It has a thick consistency, and one slice is plenty!
ReplyDeleteOMG, this looks so good. SO good!
ReplyDeleteSharon, it is very thick and chocolatie, (if that's a word), but yummy all the same :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks seriously good. Don't want to think about the calories!! Where did you get the stem ginger. I look for it in every Tesco / Dunnes I go to but can never seem to see it. Thanks a mill, Claire
ReplyDeleteHi, Claire, thank you for your oomment. I bought the ginger in Sainsbury's. I am on the north east coast, so the trip north is only about 40 mins for me. You can use powdered ginger (say half a tspn) as a substitute, or leave it out, if you can't find stem ginger.
